MOLING
THE IMPACT MOLING PROCESS
The short video opposite shows clearly the process of Impact Moling. Using this trenchless technology in conjunction with sophisticated detection equipment, new pipes can be safely laid with minimal ground excavation.
Typically replacing a pipe up a driveway involves the excavation of small pits approx 10 to 12 metres apart and the threading of the replacement pipe, under ground, between them.
If the driveway is block paved it can be reinstated so that the repair is virtually undetectable.

THE MOLE PLOUGHING PROCESS
As well as installing and reparing domestic water supplies, we at AQUATRACK LTD. also facilitate the provison of agriculteral water supplies. This is achieved using the mole ploughing process and the slideshow opposite illustrates this.
Pipe is transported to the launch site, where it is attached to the mole plough.
The mole is connected to a slot-plough and a tracked vehicle, which drags the mole and hence the pipe, into a slot at a depth of about 800mm.
This trenchless process leaves the land vertually unscathed.
